Notes |
- Notes for JOHANN LUDWIG HEINRICH from JDS:
He, 25, sailed on the SS Halle from Bremen on 31 Jan 1900 and arrived at Galveston, TX, USA on 19 Feb 1900. His destination appears to have been Lincoln, NE, and his contact an Adam Hergenroeder. Nationality was Russian, and last residence was Kukkus.
His birth date is 20 Feb in the transcription of the 1886 Kukkus Family List but 17 Feb in USA sources, including citizenship documents and his obituary. His surname is Henry in some records, including citizenship documents, but it appears that he must have still considered himself to be Heinrich. His children that survived childhood appear to have decided to use Henry.
A note in the transcribed records of Immanuel German Congregational Church, Rocky Ford, Otero County, CO, USA indicates that he and his family moved from Rock Ford:
