Name released of victim in one-vehicle accident near Murdo
March 31, 2016
A Rapid City man has been identified as the person who died in a one-vehicle crash that occurred early Wednesday morning south of Murdo, S.D.
Denny Steele, 39, was driving a 2001 Chevy Tahoe south on U.S. Highway 83 when he lost control. The vehicle went into the ditch and eventually rolled.
Steele was ejected and later pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was the only occupant in the vehicle.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Other agencies at the scene were the Jones County Sheriff’s Office and Murdo Police Department.
