He, 25, sailed on the SS Kaiser Wilhelm II from Bremen on 25 Jul 1911 and arrived at NY, USA on 1 Aug 1911. His contact in Russia was his father Friedrich in Dinkel, and his contact in the USA was his cousin Heinrich --- (?) in Del Rey or Fresno, CA. Last residence and birthplace were Dinkel. On his WWI draft card he gave his contact and his father and mother in Russia.
He was listed as single and a border in the 1920 California Census, enumerated 6 Jan 1920. Less than two months later, on 20 Mar, he married Cahtarina-Katherine Christina (Konstanz) Dauer.
