  Transcript of Reuben G Phelps death certicate in Genesee County does not show parents name or address. Cause of death: congestion of the brain and spine. He is a listed as an an heir on probate paperwork of Norman Phelps, Jr of Warren County, New York. 1880 census death schedule shows died in July of prev year and had lived in county for 26 years. which would indicate moved to Genesee County in 1853. (Adaline born in New York in 1853, Alice born in Genesee in 1855.) Land patent was in 1856. http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/PatentSearch/Results.asp?QryId=46370.41 land patent Nine of his ten listed children signed on his will.
