      Henry "Hienie" Reitz Jr., 92, of Sterling, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, in Sterling.
      Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with Elks Lodge No. 1336 officiating. Inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
      Mr. Reitz was born Dec. 22, 1909, to Henry and Molly (Maser) Reitz in Lincoln, Neb. The family moved to Iliff,
      where he attended school, eventually graduating from high school.
      On Jan. 17, 1928, he marreed Margaret Huck in Iliff. They farmed in the Iliff area until moving to Sterling, where they had lived since.
      He was a life member of the Sterling Elks Lodge No. 1336.
      Mr. Reitz is survived by his wife Margaret, of Sterling; two daughters, Virginia Dobbs of Greeley, and Ardith Magill of Leadville; one brother, George Reitz of Rifle; one sister, Elise Stone of Parachute; five grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, and one great- great-grandchild.
      He was preceded in death by one son, Donald Reitz in May 2000.
