  J.S,-Notes for PETER GÖRINGER-GERINGER: He and his wife and daughter sailed on the SS Merion from Liverpool on 2 May 1906 and arrived in Philadelphia, USA on 14 May 1906. His contact in the USA was his brother-in-law "Mr." Kukkus in Lincoln, NE, believed to be his wife's brother Heinrich-Henry. A Peter Geringer, born 31 Jan 1876, filled out a WWI draft card in McGrew, Scotts Bluff County, NE, USA, and it lists a wife "Katie." If this is the same Peter, which in all liklihood it is, the bithdate and wife's name are incorrect. Obituary taken from the Tuesday, January 22, 1935 edition of The Lincoln Star, Lincoln, Lancaster County, NE, USA: PETER GERINGER DEAD. Peter Geringer, 58, a resident of Lincoln for a number of years, died at his home at 717 New Hampshire street at 1 o'clock Tuesday morning. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and by four daughters, Mrs. Peter Faust, Mrs. Margaret Gates and Misses Anna and Katherine, all of Lincoln; and two brothers, Henry of Sugar City, Colo., and Phillip of Fresno, Cal.
