• Notes

  Marriage record in 1859 gives parents of John and Rebecca Van Norman and birth place of Earnestown (which is in Ontario). Peter & Harriet (his sister) Degroat are witnesses to that marriage. The birth record is from the baptism. No confirmation of the earlier marriage other than unsourced trees. Daughter Malvina lived with him in 1851. On her death record she listed father of Abraham Van Norman and mother of Holmstead. His 1st wife supposed abt 1829 and he remarried to have his daughter Malvina 12/12/1834. Linda Lucinda died abt 1851. By 1859 he remarried in Dorchester.
