• Notes

  Child on 1840 census as less than 5 may not have been Jennette, but an earlier child who died young. As to why her name is Wetherby and not Phelps, I do not know. Perhaps she was not Simeon's child??? or perhaps she was an orphan of one of Sophia's close relatives, thus Sophia took her in.
