    Notes:

    Some older sources claim that Sarah was the d/o Roger Osborne of Halstead, Kent, but there is no support for this identification!!! Although baptism record of her son Richard lists mother as Sarah Osborn. But we cannot show a connection to Roger Osborn.

    Death: (1a) Husband's will names his wife, 22 Apr 1640. (1b,2b) Probate of husband's estate, 27 Jan 1642/3, calls her "Widdow Lyman, Decd," having left a note dated 24 Jul (no year). T. Manning, Jr. on World Connect record says Sarah died Jan 1641/42 in Hartford.

    (1a,2c) 1640, 22 Apr: Richard LYMAN wrote his will. Gives to wife all my housing and lands during her life, and 1/3 part of my lands to dispose of at her death amongst my children as she pleases; also all my moveable goods, as cattle and household stuff, and other implements. Wife named executrix.
    (1b,2c) 1642, 27 Jan: The will and inventory of Richard LYMAN, dec'd, were brought into the Particular Court, Hartford, CT. Proved by oath of John MOODY. "And the noate that was brought in is the noate of the Widdow LYMAN, Decd." The note is dated 24 Jul: "The wydowe LYMANs mynd is that her sonne Richard LYMAN should performe her husbands will, and that her son Robert should live wth him till he be 22 yeares of age." She gives Robert the third part of the house and grounds, and for the performance of her husband's will she gives Richard all her moveable goods, both without the house and within it. She will only dispose of her wearing clothes and "some of her lining." Signed by John MOODIE and Andrew BACON.
